Would you like to know how to interpret the data provided on your test or quiz questions? This workshop will examine the psychometric information included in diagnostic reports generated by Blackboard and ExamSoft. Psychometrics can be used to gauge the overall quality of a multiple-choice exam and the effectiveness of individual questions. They include: - Question difficulty - Discrimination index - Frequency distribution of answers - Average response time - Internal consistency During this workshop we will work with an example psychometric report to identify and diagnose problematic questions. Knowledge of question-writing guidelines, such as those published by the NBME, will be helpful in this workshop, but are not required. This session will be led by Sebastian Uijtdehaage, PhD.
